A small track on a sunny day in the Isle of Wight. This a little track I cycled down on a cycling trip around the Isle of Wight in England. I never really liked the image in colour, possibly due to the bland colour from the middle of the day in spring, so it was left lonely on a hard drive.
But I took it because I liked the composition, not the colour, and the harsher shadows helped to emphasize the composition….but the harsh midday light took something away. But I was happy with it in black and white. It sort of matched what I saw in my minds eye at the time
I have gone through quite a lot of photos that I liked when I pressed the shutter, but thought best to leave them on the hard drive after seeing them in their glory on the computer. And some of them seem to suit a black and white conversion quite well.
I am using Silver Efex Pro 2 from Nik Software (now google) and I have added a vignette and darkened the original and increased the contrast a little.
So I may be posting a few more of these over the next few days…weeks even…or even months, who knows!!
