Marram grass and lots of shingle at Kessingland beach, Suffolk, England. This is a fantastic beach…definitely not a golden sands palm tree lined tropical beach…but a blustery, windy, moody beach dotted with old rusting fishing equipment from a long gone industry, providing the imaginative wanderer with an unwritten history.
I think the sky is as much a part of the landscape as the landscape itself….invisible components such as the wind and heat help create the drama that we often see in the skies that shapes the land, and they turn ordinary landscapes into dramatic and even inspiring ones.
Fine simple composition. The beautiful sky makes one forgive the absence of a real focal point. The light is a decisive feature here.

This view looks much more intriguing than the clear blue sky and palm trees we’ve got over here. I love to take photos when the sea is really rough and the sky covered in clouds. Great dynamic in your photo and beautiful contrasting colours.
