Kotor Bay, Montenegro.
This is Kotor Bay, which is one of the most picturesque places along the Adriatic coastline, at least that’s what I think!
The bay is one of the deepest fjords in Europe and this photo really shows off the scale of those mountains. They are not Himalayan sized mountains, but the proximity to the towns that reside within them gives a real sense of enormity.
The road follows the bay around the edge which hugs the bottom of the mountain slopes at sea level all the way around, so there is always a view across the bay.
And if you cycle round you can stop of at a cafe at every small town along the way!
